Comfort food spans cultures and geographic boundaries, because it is, in essence, food that is true to its roots. And because it has a sentimental appeal and brings on a sense of pure, unadulterated pleasure, it is nourishment for the stomach as well as for the spirit. The term "contemporary" appended to "comfort food" defines Basilio's take on comfort food. You've probably consumed more than a liter of alcohol anyway, so it may not be such a bad idea for you and your friends to grab a bite to eat before calling it a night!
This is a tried-and-tested ritual: friends get together before ending their night out, head to one of their favorite restaurants, order a shit-load of food, and gobble it down faster than you can imagine without even uttering a single word. So, here are a few places, on and off the radar, that I strongly recommend. Old Swiss Inn (Makati Avenue): Steak? Fondue? Breakfast buffet? Take your pick! Yo...
